Custom work - Sapient Tech index -> Custom Work > Prototype markers > Sapient

Technology in the paintball industry has reached a saturation point whereby every current "high-end" marker has virtually the same specifications on paper. They're all able to shoot virtually uncapped speeds, yield very little to no recoil, small and lightweight, come with nice stock boards, experience reasonable efficiency and consistency, fast-recharging regulators, easy to clean, and so forth. Despite this, I've noticed nearly every marker manufacturer keeps listing these features as advantages to their respective product, despite the practical difference from gun to gun on paper being very slim. I feel that manufacturers and developers need to stop wasting their time penny-pinching every last ounce from these outdated marker standards, and instead develop ACTUAL features to set new products apart from all the other fast/light/efficient/lowkick/easytoclean unstoppable high-end guns out there.

Enter the Sapient, my most advanced marker design to date. It is without a doubt the most advanced platform ever created. Of course it's primarilly based on an ultra high-end marker at heart, featuring all the best from previous markers, but with some new added features specifically designed to re-structure the limits of technology at a fundamental level. This is the most highly-developed combination of science and performance ever built into a gun. I refer to the Sapient as the "final" design.

Above are picture various studio renders from November-December 2008. Some are designed to be realistic; some are made less-so due to transparency effects.

Sure the pictures are nice looking - however, the visual appearance of this gun is completely irrevelant when compared to the answer it brings to the industry. I don't have many other details to give out at this juncture, however development is ongoing. I am currently working on the watered-down version of this platform. Once that is complete, the legwork will have been laid, and the industry will be extremely close to the FINAL paintball marker ever created.
