A while ago (when I was really interested in working with the Impulse) I decided to try out a quick "spool valve conversion" for one of my guns. It involved removing the hammer from the assembly and installing a balanced valve in its place.

The mod involved a new valve setup, and a new valve endcap as well. I used a guide component (mounted in the endcap) to reduce the length of the new moving internals.

I made ths quick parts movement animation to show how it works...

Here's a quick fullyautomatic video I made. You can audibly hear the change in noice, hense the name of the mod (it was also inspired by other things, as well).
