AKALMP - Manufacturing in Paintball ZDSPB.com > Tech index > Manufacturing in Paintball > AKALMP

AKALMP was run by a manufacturing company called LEADS Metal Products which was owned and ran by the Alexander family. The "AKA" division was named after the designer of their Paintball components, Aaron Alexander. It was this machine shop that produced Vikings and Excaliburs until 2004. The business went into decline after exiting the electronic market, but continued to produce accessories as time went on. The AKALMP regulators are of particular interest then and now. The business AKALMP was sold to Destructive Customs in 2014, who then assumed sales and distribution.

The LEADS machine shop consisted mainly of Haas CNC machines. The following mills were in use at one point in time: Haas VF0, Haas VF-E, four Haas VF-4. Most of the mills were equipped with 4th axis systems although the demands of the workpiece dictates whether or not the hardware would be used.
Their compliment of lathes included these: Haas HL-1, three HL-2 and Mori Seiki CL-200 4-axis lathe.

The below video shows the AKALMP machine shop and equipment can be seen running many paintball components.
