Solenoid maintenance is suggested every 20,000 pressurized cycles, or every two months, whichever comes first. Some internal leaks and shooting/consistency problems are also caused by the spool valve, located within the solenoid, and as a result require it to be cleaned and regreased to solve related problems (see the Trobleshooting page for details.

In order to disassemble your solenoid, you first need to know which valve is in your gun...Parker or Humphrey. Use this picture if you are unsure:
