The Ion's most unique feature is its ability to be customized with different external exoskeletons. This is a simple tube-based covering for the internals, that can be modified and redesigned in any number of different ways.
Smart Parts sells Ion body kits in 12 different colors at the time of this writing. Each body kits comes with a new body exoskeleton, reg cover, and grips pair. Exoskeletons, reg covers, and grips are also available for individual purchase, in the base colors only (black, blue, yellow, and red). These items are available from any major SP retailer.
