The Culex (pronounced q-lex) is an open bolt blowforward dump valve marker that I began building first week in August 2006. It's not as unique as some of my other designs, but unlike some of the more complex things I've created I specifically designed this to be easy to produce, on my own, in my spare time. It serves as a good project to fly past before I start on the hard stuff.

Culex is one of many primarilly poppet-driven bolt systems that I've created to experiment and modify. Some information can be found in the custom work section.

The picture above was taken after the body milling and drilling for detents and eyes. I plan to remove a small amount of additional material before sending it to ano. Please remember it's a conceptual prototype design, thus the cosmetics are completely irrevelant.
