General disassembly and tune-up:
This is the standard fee for any shooting/leaking problems, and can also be added onto other repairs if the marker needs a good cleaning and regreasing. Any shooting/leaking problems will require this fee as a minimum (labor charge). The general tune-up includes the following tasks:
· Service for the marker and regulator; the solenoids will be cleaned only if necessary to remedy a problem.
· Basic disassembly of the firing components, cleaning and re-greasing the o-rings and other seals. Complete bolt disassembly isn't included
· Includes the labor charge for repairing leaking/shooting problems.
· Replacment of any damaged or worn o-rings.
· Adjusting dwell to an optimal level.
· Cost for replacement parts, should you need them, is not included. There may be added charges to remedy some problems you may be experiencing, depending on the issue (I would quote you before installing the part). Contact for a specific quote.
General tune-up costs $15 for the Shocker Sport.
Complete disassembly and rebuild:
This is an upgraded service from the "general" tune-up. The complete disassembly and rebuild is most often used for newly-purchased used markers, or alternately for markers that are about to be sold or traded off (which will hopefully add to the selling price). This service involves the following:
· Service for the marker, regulator(s), and solenoids. You can send in multiple regulators if you have backups.
· Complete disassembly of all pneumatic components; thorough cleaning to remove all accessible debris, moisture, or grease; full bolt piston disassembly.
· Complete rebuild of all standard o-rings and bumpers on the entire marker and regulator(s). Solenoid internal seals or body gaskets aren't included.
· The fire piston seat is removed and rebuild if necessary (very uncommon though).
· Includes the labor charge for repairing leaking/shooting problems as well.
· Adjustment of fire pulse to its optimal level, adjustment of other electronic settings (bolt pulse, etc) on request.
· Cost for replacement parts, should you need them, is not included. There may be added charges to remedy some problems you may be experiencing, depending on the issue. Contact me for a specific quote.
· This service requires approximately 30-50 minutes plus one additional overnight session of downtime. The marker reassembly requires allowing loctite seals to cure overnight so this service takes longer than usual.
Complete disassembly/rebuild costs $25 for the Shocker Sport.
Electronics repair:
· Trigger microswitch repair ($12) - Replacement of a broken trigger microswitch. Please specify either a 25 gram (stock) or slightly heavier 80 gram switch when you send the board in. This repair applies to both LS and DS baords.
· Circuit (IC) component repair ($10-15) - This is the cost to replace a broken circuit component on the circuit board. This could be a resistor, diode, transistor, or some other part. These problems are uncommon, but not completely unheard-of. The cost is $10 for most repairs however parts that must first be special-ordered cost an additional $5 (contact for details).
· LS powerswitch repair ($15) - This is for repairing the actual switch on the LS circuit board.
· Fire mode switch repair ($15) - Cost for repairing the fire mode switch at the front of the board.
· LED repair - see custom LED mod further down on the page.
Custom Modifications:
· 9v connector install ($5) - Cost for installing a new 9v battery connector onto the board. You can also send in a dead SP battery pack and I will use the connector to make an adapter for you (cost is the same). Works for DS and LS.
· Power switch relocation ($15) - This is the charge for installing a new power switch onto the back of the marker. Choose from a slide or toggle switch (recommended). This can be installed for any LS or DS board, and will obviously help with DS boards since they don't have a switch in the first place.
· LS custom LED mod ($15) - This involves installing a new LED on the marker (LS board only). You can choose the color and location of where you wish it to be placed (stock position, back of the frame, etc.). The LEDs I use are superbright so you will have no problem seeing them, even when playing outdoors. You can choose from just about any color combination possible, in wither 3-mm or 5-mm lens (I strongly suggest 3-mm).
· Leverswitch mod for DS boards ($15) - This involves the installation of a regular LS-style switch onto your DS board. You can then use any Impulse trigger with the marker. Stock DS triggers can also be used, but I will have to modify them and it costs an additional $10.
· DS Select-fire conversion ($15) - Any DS board can be converted to S/F with the installation of the fire mode switch at the top of the board.
· DS Select-fire relocation ($15) - This involves moving the S/F switch to the rear of the circuit housing (or anyplace else you want it). This is also the cost for the mod if you don't have the S/F switch installed yet. An example install is pictured below, where the switch was moved to the rear of the circuit housing.
· DS Turbo mode switch relocation ($15) - I can install a switch someplace else on the marker (back of the circuit housing, for instance) which will activate or deactivate your Turbo mode, instead of having to open the circuit housing for it.
· Frame retrofit ($20) - This is the cost for installing a non-Shocker frame onto your Shocker Sport. This will work for any DS or LS board. The only catch is, you have to supply the frame. It really doesn't matter what type of frame you send, it can be from just about any other marker out there, but you'll have to provide it. Common installs are frames from an Angel, Impulse, or Shocker SFT.
· HSW S-Frame install/wiring repair - Standard cost for this is $10-20, depending on the work. This is the charge for installing and wiring up an HSW frame to your current board setup. Works with any Shocker Sport board (DS, LS, Glacier).
